In Saturday's non-league match, the host Bullard Panthers softball team scored a tight 7-5 win over the Van Alstyne Panthers.

The Panthers (24-7) will now prepare for their match against Palestine (Palestine, TX). The Wildcats come into the 4A Region III District 17 match with a 16-15 record. In their last match, Palestine by Bullard (Bullard, TX), 21-3, in a league match.
