Amelia County Raiders (Amelia Court House, VA) fans were thrilled Thursday as they observed their soccer team knock off the visiting Nottoway Cougars (Nottoway, VA), 2-0 in a league challenge.

Next, the Raiders face the Randolph-Henry Statesmen (Charlotte Court House, VA) in a James River challenge, on Friday, April 13. Amelia County will attempt to better on its 2-1 season record. The Statesmen enter the challenge with a 0-5 record after their 3-2 league loss to Buckingham (Buckingham, VA).

The Cougars now have a 3-3 record. They take the field next when they host Lunenburg Central for a non-league challenge on Monday, April 16.
