April 12, 2022: Tecumseh, KS 66542 Shawnee Heights Thunderbirds (Tecumseh, KS) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting De Soto Wildcats (De Soto, KS), 10-3 in a non-league challenge.
The Thunderbirds now own a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Olathe South for a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 14. Shawnee Heights will face a Falcons squad coming off a 3-2 league loss to Gardner-Edgerton (Gardner, KS). The Falcons record now stands at 1-4.
With the loss, De Soto falls to 1-4 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Turner (Kansas City, KS) to face the Golden Bears in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 19. The Golden Bears enter the challenge with a record of 0-3.
