Connecticut High School Softball - Norwich Free Academy holds off Fitch
April 12, 2022: Groton, CT 06340 Norwich Free Academy Wildcats (Norwich, CT) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Fitch Falcons (Groton, CT), 5-3 in a league challenge.
The Wildcats now sport a 4-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Waterford for a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 14. Norwich Free Academy will face a Lancers squad coming off a 5-4 non-league loss to Cheshire (Cheshire, CT). The Lancers record now stands at 2-1.
With the loss, Fitch falls to 1-1 on the campaign. The Falcons host East Lyme (East Lyme, CT) to face the Vikings in a Eastern Connecticut - Large challenge on Thursday, April 14. The Vikings enter the challenge with a record of 3-0. East Lyme won 19-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Lyman Memorial (Lebanon, CT)
