April 12, 2023: Locust Grove, GA 30248 Spectators at Wednesday's league battle between the Locust Grove Wildcats (Locust Grove, GA) and the visiting Jones County Greyhounds (Gray, GA), saw Locust Grove's baseball squad knock off Jones County by a count of 6-0.
Coming up next, the Wildcats play the Union Grove Wolverines (McDonough, GA) in a 5A Area 2 battle, on Monday, April 17. Locust Grove will attempt to move on its 24-2 season record. The Wolverines enter the battle with a 16-9 record after their 11-0 league win over Dutchtown (Hampton, GA).
The Greyhounds now possess a 6-21 record. They take the field next when they host Warner Robins for a 5A Area 2 battle on Monday, April 17.
