April 12, 2023: Staunton, VA 24401 The crowd at Wednesday's non-league test between the Staunton Storm (Staunton, VA) and the visiting Broadway Gobblers (Broadway, VA), saw Staunton's soccer squad knock off Broadway by a margin of 4-1.
The Storm now sport a 4-2 record. They play next when they host Stuarts Draft for a Shenandoah test on Thursday, April 13. Staunton will meet a Cougars squad coming off a 1-0 league loss to Waynesboro (Waynesboro, VA). The Cougars record now stands at 4-3.
In their next game, the Gobblers play the Turner Ashby Knights (Bridgewater, VA) in a Valley outing, on Friday, April 14. Broadway will attempt to advance on its 5-3 season record. The Knights go into the outing with a 5-2 record after their 4-0 non-league win over William Monroe (Stanardsville, VA).
