April 12, 2024: Millers Creek, NC 28651 In Friday's league game, the visiting East Surry Cardinals baseball team scored a tight 11-4 victory over the West Wilkes Blackhawks.
The Cardinals (9-6) will now prepare for their game against Surry Central (Dobson, NC). The Golden Eagles go into the Foothills 2A game with a 8-10 record. In their last game, Surry Central was overwhelmed by North Surry (Mount Airy, NC), 17-3, in a league game.
The Blackhawks (9-6) will now prepare for their game against East Wilkes (Ronda, NC). The Cardinals go into the non-league game with a 10-5 record. In their last game, East Wilkes tipped Thomasville (Thomasville, NC), 10-0, in a non-league game.
