South Carolina High School Baseball - Hillcrest defeats Woodmont
April 12, 2024: Piedmont, SC 29673 Spectators at Friday's league battle between the Hillcrest Rams (Simpsonville, SC) and the host Woodmont Wildcats (Piedmont, SC), saw Hillcrest's baseball squad knock off Woodmont by a count of 9-1.
Coming up next, the Rams play the Mauldin Mavericks (Mauldin, SC) in a 5A Region 1 battle, on Monday, April 15. Hillcrest will attempt to move on its 10-9 season record. The Mavericks enter the battle with a 5-6 record after their 5-0 non-league loss to Spartanburg (Spartanburg, SC).
The Wildcats now possess a 6-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to T.L. Hanna for a 5A Region 1 battle on Monday, April 15. Woodmont will play a Yellow Jackets squad coming off a 3-2 league win over J.L. Mann (Greenville, SC). The Yellow Jackets record now stands at 6-3.
