North Carolina High School Soccer - Maiden nudges Lincolnton
April 12, 2024: Lincolnton, NC 28092 Maiden Blue Devils (Maiden, NC) fans were thrilled Friday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Lincolnton Wolves (Lincolnton, NC), 1-0 in a league challenge.
Next, the Blue Devils face the Bandys Trojans (Catawba, NC) in a Catawba Valley Athletic 2A challenge, on Monday, April 15. Maiden will attempt to better on its 6-4 season record. The Trojans enter the challenge with a 8-1 record after their 9-0 league win over West Caldwell (Lenoir, NC).
The Wolves now have a 3-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to West Lincoln for a Catawba Valley Athletic 2A challenge on Tuesday, April 16. Lincolnton will face a Rebels team coming off a 1-0 league loss to East Burke (Connelly Springs, NC). The Rebels record now stands at 4-8.
