In Saturday's league game, the visiting Brevard Blue Devils baseball team scored a close 7-5 victory over the Polk County Wolverines.

The Blue Devils (9-8) will now prepare for their challenge against North Henderson (Hendersonville, NC). The Knights go into the non-league challenge with a 13-5 record. In their last challenge, North Henderson nipped Polk County (Columbus, NC), 5-1, in a non-league challenge.

With the defeat, Polk County drops to 6-9 on the year. The Wolverines travel to Hendersonville (Hendersonville, NC) to clash with the Bearcats in a Mountain Foothills 7 1A/2A challenge on Monday, April 14.
