The Burleson Elks baseball team scored 10 runs and held the visiting Lamar Vikings to 0 in the Elks non-league win on Saturday.

The Elks now own a 17-8 record. They take the field next when they host Centennial for a 5A Region I District 8 test on Tuesday, April 15. Burleson will play a Spartans team coming off a 10-8 non-league win over Kennedale (Kennedale, TX). The Spartans record now stands at 14-9.

With the defeat, Lamar drops to 10-15 on the year. The Vikings travel to Bowie (Arlington, TX) to play the Volunteers in a 6A Region I District 8 test on Tuesday, April 15.
