In Wednesday's league bout, the Pinecrest Patriots (Southern Pines, NC) baseball team crushed the host Hoke County Bucks (Raeford, NC), by a count of 16-3.

The Patriots now possess a 12-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Northwood for a non-league bout on Saturday, April 16. Pinecrest will face a Chargers team coming off a 5-0 league loss to Orange (Hillsborough, NC). The Chargers record now stands at 10-8.

Next, the Bucks face the Lumberton Pirates (Lumberton, NC) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, April 16. Hoke County will attempt to move on its 0-18 season record. The Pirates enter the bout with a 8-8 record after their 11-5 non-league loss to Richmond (Rockingham, NC).
