The Wildcats enter the outing with a 13-4 record after their 7-2 league win over Canyon Crest Academy (San Diego, CA).
The Lancers (4-11) will now prepare for their outing against Rancho Buena Vista (Vista, CA). The Longhorns enter the Coastal North County outing with a 9-6 record. In their last outing, Rancho Buena Vista tipped La Costa Canyon (Carlsbad, CA), 4-2, in a league outing.

The Torrey Pines Lady Falcons rallied from a 3-1 fifth inning deficit by scoring a run in the fifth, three in the six and two in the seventh to defeat the Carlsbad Lancers 8 to 3 in the North County Coastal League opener in a game played this afternoon at Carlsbad High School. The defending North County Coastal League Champion Falcons fell behind 3 to 1 after one inning on 2 fielding errors and 2 hits but Sophomore left-handed pitcher Georgia Bilski threw six Consecutive-shut out innings and gave up no earned runs in the contest, allowing only 5 hits as Torrey Pines made their comeback. Senior Kyra Chan went 2-3 with two doubles, 2 runs scored and a stolen base to lead the Falcon offense. Seniors Emma Fitzgerald and Simone Bertucci both went 2-4 for the Falcons who improved to 13-5-1 overall and 1-0 in the league with the victory while Carlsbad drops to 4-11 on the season and 0-2 in the conference.
