The Marquette Catholic Explorers crushed the visiting Metro-East Lutheran Knights baseball team by a count of 12-2 in Thursday's league bout.

The Explorers now possess a 11-5 record. They take the field next when they host Collinsville for a non-league bout on Saturday, April 15. Marquette Catholic will face a Kahoks team coming off a 5-0 league loss to Belleville West (Belleville, IL). The Kahoks record now stands at 7-3.

Next, the Knights face the Lutheran Crusaders (Springfield, IL) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, April 15. Metro-East Lutheran will attempt to move on its 0-9 season record. The Crusaders enter the bout with a 2-8 record after their 18-4 league loss to Nokomis (Nokomis, IL).
