April 13, 2023: Springfield, MA 01118 The crowd at Thursday's non-league match between the Pope Francis Prep Cardinals (Springfield, MA) and the visiting Pathfinder RVT Pioneers (Palmer, MA), saw Pope Francis Prep's softball squad achieve victory over Pathfinder RVT by a count of 17-5.
The Cardinals now sport a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Hampden Charter School of Science for a non-league match on Monday, April 24.
With the loss, Pathfinder RVT falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Pioneers travel to Commerce (Springfield, MA) to face the Red Raiders in a PVIAC - Tri County North match on Monday, April 17. The Red Raiders enter the match with a record of 0-0.
