Washington High School Soccer - Anacortes nudges Lakewood
April 13, 2024: Arlington, WA 98223 Anacortes Seahawks (Anacortes, WA) fans were thrilled Saturday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Lakewood Cougars (Arlington, WA), 2-1 in a league challenge.
Next, the Seahawks face the Ferndale Golden Eagles (Ferndale, WA) in a 1A/2A/3A Northwest challenge, on Monday, April 15. Anacortes will attempt to better on its 3-4 season record. The Golden Eagles enter the challenge with a 3-6 record after their 4-1 league win over Blaine (Blaine, WA).
The Cougars now have a 3-8 record. They take the field next when they host Burlington-Edison for a 1A/2A/3A Northwest challenge on Monday, April 15. Lakewood will face a Tigers team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Lynden (Lynden, WA). The Tigers record now stands at 5-3.
