The Columbus Falcons overwhelmed the visiting Leake Central Gators softball squad by a count of 18-3 in Monday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Falcons meet the Lafayette Commodores (Oxford, MS) in a 5A Region 1 challenge, on Tuesday, April 14. Columbus will attempt to upgrade on its 3-16 season record. The Commodores enter the game with a 13-7 record after their 8-2 league loss to Caledonia (Caledonia, MS).
