The Samson Tigers triumphed over the host Elba Tigers softball squad by a count of 13-1 in Monday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Tigers play the Geneva County Bulldogs (Hartford, AL) in a 2A Area 2 challenge, on Tuesday, April 14. Samson will attempt to upgrade on its 11-8 season record. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a 1-16 record after their 15-0 non-league loss to Long (Skipperville, AL).

The Tigers (10-14) will now prepare for their challenge against McKenzie (McKenzie, AL). The Tigers enter the 1A Area 3 challenge with a 5-11 record. In their last challenge, McKenzie overcame Highland Home (Highland Home, AL), 9-5, in a non-league challenge.
