The crowd at Thursday's non-league match between the Foran Lions (Milford, CT) and the visiting Branford Hornets (Branford, CT), saw Foran's softball squad achieve victory over Branford by a count of 11-2.

The Lions now sport a 4-1 record. They take the field next when they host East Haven for a Southern Connecticut - Oronoque match on Saturday, April 16. Foran will face a Yellowjackets squad coming off a 10-5 league win over Hamden (Hamden, CT). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 4-1.

With the loss, Branford falls to 0-4 on the campaign. The Hornets host Wilbur Cross (New Haven, CT) to face the Governors in a non-league match on Saturday, April 16. The Governors enter the match with a record of 0-3. Wilbur Cross lost 14-0 in their recent non-league match against Sacred Heart Academy (Hamden, CT)
