River Valley Vikings (Caledonia, OH) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Elgin Comets (Marion, OH), 18-6 in a non-league challenge.

The Vikings now own a 5-2 record. They take the field next when they host Milton-Union for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 16. River Valley will battle a Bulldogs squad coming off a 6-1 league loss to Riverside (De Graff, OH). The Bulldogs record now stands at 0-4.

With the loss, Elgin falls to 4-2 on the campaign. The Comets travel to Ridgedale (Morral, OH) to battle the Rockets in a Northwest Central challenge on Monday, April 18. The Rockets enter the challenge with a record of 3-1.
