Washington High School Baseball - Priest River tipped by Newport
April 14, 2023: Newport, WA 99156 In Friday's non-league game, the host Newport Grizzlies baseball team scored a tight 2-0 victory over the Priest River Spartans.
The Grizzlies (5-6) will now prepare for their game against Colville (Colville, WA). The Crimson Hawks go into the 1A Northeast outing with a 9-5 record. In their last outing, Colville edged Lakeside (Nine Mile Falls, WA), 20-10, in a league outing.
Next, the Spartans confront the Kellogg Wildcats (Kellogg, ID) in a 3A Intermountain outing, on Monday, April 17. Priest River will attempt to advance on its 0-8 season record. The Wildcats go into the outing with a 3-7 record after their 10-5 non-league loss to Lakeland (Rathdrum, ID).
