Virginia High School Soccer - James River nudges Nelson County
April 14, 2023: Lovingston, VA 22949 James River Knights (Buchanan, VA) fans were thrilled Friday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Nelson County Governors (Lovingston, VA), 4-3 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Knights face the Carroll County Cavaliers (Hillsville, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, April 17. James River will attempt to better on its 1-4 season record. The Cavaliers enter the challenge with a 1-2 record after their 6-0 non-league win over Marion (Marion, VA).
The Governors now have a 0-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to James River for a non-league challenge on Friday, April 21.
