In Friday's league contest, the East Clinton Astros (Sabina, OH) softball team held off the host Williamsburg Wildcats (Williamsburg, OH), by a margin of 2-1.

With the triumph, East Clinton moves its record to 6-5 on the year. The Astros host Bethel-Tate (Bethel, OH) to play the Tigers in a Southern Buckeye AA - National contest on Monday, April 17. The Tigers come into the contest with a record of 8-1. Bethel-Tate won 11-0 in their recent non-league contest against Wilmington (Wilmington, OH)

In their next game, the Wildcats play the Batavia Bulldogs (Batavia, OH) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, April 15. Williamsburg will attempt to move on its 4-3 season record. The Bulldogs come into the contest with a 5-6 record after their 7-4 non-league loss to Clermont Northeastern (Batavia, OH).
