The crowd at Monday's non-league bout between the Manzano Monarchs (Albuquerque, NM) and the visiting Rio Grande Ravens (Albuquerque, NM), observed Manzano's softball team get by Rio Grande by a final score of 5-2.

The Monarchs (5-15) will now prepare for their bout against Santa Fe (Santa Fe, NM). The Demons go into the 5A District 2 bout with a 8-12 record. In their last bout, Santa Fe was routed by Capital (Santa Fe, NM), 10-0, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Ravens battle the West Mesa Mustangs (Albuquerque, NM) in a 5A District 5 bout, on Tuesday, April 15. Rio Grande will attempt to better on its 6-10 season record.
