The Desert Edge Scorpions crushed the host Cactus Cobras baseball team by a count of 14-4 in Friday's league bout.

The Scorpions now possess a 7-12 record. They take the field next when they host Notre Dame Prep for a 4A West Valley bout on Friday, April 22.

Next, the Cobras face the St. Mary's Knights (Phoenix, AZ) in a non-league bout, on Monday, April 18. Cactus will attempt to move on its 5-14 season record. The Knights enter the bout with a 14-8 record after their 14-1 league win over Greenway (Phoenix, AZ).
