In Saturday's non-league game, the host South Pontotoc Cougars baseball team scored a nice 18-6 victory over the Bruce Trojans.

The Cougars (16-5) will now prepare for their game against Ripley (Ripley, MS). The Tigers go into the 4A Region 2 game with a 6-8 record. In their last game, Ripley was overwhelmed by Alcorn Central (Glen, MS), 7-6, in a non-league game.

The Trojans (12-8) will now prepare for their game against Pontotoc (Pontotoc, MS). The Warriors go into the non-league game with a 11-3 record.
