April 15, 2024: Rome, NY 13441 The Rome Free Academy Black Knights softball team scored 5 runs and limited the visiting Central Square Redhawks to 3 in the Black Knights non-league triumph on Monday.
With the triumph, Rome Free Academy moves its record to 2-1 on the year. The Black Knights travel to Holland Patent (Holland Patent, NY) to clash with the Golden Knights in a Section 3 Tri-Valley game on Tuesday, April 16. The Golden Knights come into the game with a record of 1-0. Holland Patent won 12-1 in their recent league game against Vernon-Verona-Sherrill (Verona, NY)
In their next game, the Redhawks clash with the Oswego Bucs (Oswego, NY) in a Section 3 Empire game, on Wednesday, April 17. Central Square will attempt to move on its 0-2 season record. The Bucs come into the game with a 0-1 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to New Hartford (New Hartford, NY).
