Ohio High School Softball - Newark Catholic bounces Johnstown-Monroe
April 15, 2024: Newark, OH 43055 Newark Catholic Green Wave (Newark, OH) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Johnstown-Monroe Johnnies (Johnstown, OH), 7-2 in a league challenge.
The Green Wave now own a 8-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Licking Valley for a Licking County challenge on Tuesday, April 16. Newark Catholic will face a Panthers squad coming off a 8-2 non-league win over Fredericktown (Fredericktown, OH). The Panthers record now stands at 2-4.
With the loss, Johnstown-Monroe falls to 1-6 on the campaign. The Johnnies travel to Granville (Granville, OH) to face the Blue Aces in a Licking County challenge on Tuesday, April 16. The Blue Aces enter the challenge with a record of 14-1. Granville won 23-0 in their recent league challenge against Zanesville (Zanesville, OH)
