April 15, 2024: Suffolk, VA 23434 The crowd at Monday's league match between the Nansemond-Suffolk Academy Saints (Suffolk, VA) and the visiting Nansemond River Warriors (Suffolk, VA), saw Nansemond-Suffolk Academy's softball squad achieve victory over Nansemond River by a count of 11-0.
The Saints now sport a 10-0 record. They take the field next when they host Hickory for a Southeastern test on Wednesday, April 17. Nansemond-Suffolk Academy will encounter a Hawks team coming off a 15-2 league win over Oscar Smith (Chesapeake, VA). The Hawks record now stands at 7-1.
The Warriors (3-4) will now prepare for their test against Great Bridge (Chesapeake, VA). The Wildcats come into the Southeastern test with a 4-3 record. In their last test, Great Bridge overcame Ocean Lakes (Virginia Beach, VA), 3-0, in a non-league test.
