Virginia High School Baseball - Amelia County wallops Prince Edward County
April 15, 2025: Farmville, VA 23901 The Amelia County Raiders (Amelia Court House, VA) baseball trounced the host Prince Edward County Eagles (Farmville, VA), 17-0 in Tuesday's league challenge.
The Raiders now own a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Cumberland for a James River challenge on Thursday, April 17. Amelia County will clash with a Dukes team coming off a 9-5 non-league loss to Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot (Powhatan, VA). The Dukes record now stands at 1-6.
With the defeat, Prince Edward County drops to 3-2 on the year. The Eagles travel to Randolph-Henry (Charlotte Court House, VA) to clash with the Statesmen in a James River challenge on Thursday, April 17. The Statesmen go into the challenge with a record of 5-4. Randolph-Henry won 7-3 in their recent league challenge against Lunenburg Central (Victoria, VA)
