New York High School Softball - Ward Melville tipped by Walt Whitman
April 12, 2025: East Setauket, NY 11733 Walt Whitman Wildcats (Huntington Station, NY) backers left the game pleased Saturday as they saw their softball squad nudge the host Ward Melville Patriots (East Setauket, NY), 7-5 in a non-league game.
With the triumph, Walt Whitman upgrades its record to 3-2 on the year. The Wildcats travel to Lindenhurst (Lindenhurst, NY) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league game on Monday, April 14. The Bulldogs enter the game with a record of 0-2. Lindenhurst lost 10-2 in their recent league game against Sachem East (Farmingville, NY)
The Patriots now own a 0-2 record. They play next when they travel to St. Anthony's for a non-league game on Tuesday, April 29.
