North Carolina High School Softball - Green Hope nudges Apex

April 16, 2013: Cary, NC 27519

Green Hope Falcons (Cary, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Apex Cougars (Apex, NC), 2-1 in a league challenge.

The Falcons now own a 9-5 record. They take the field next when they host Fuquay-Varina for a 4A Tri-Nine challenge on Thursday, April 18. Green Hope will battle a Bengals squad coming off a 18-1 league win over Panther Creek (Cary, NC). The Bengals record now stands at 8-4.

With the loss, Apex falls to 15-1 on the campaign. The Cougars host Athens Drive (Raleigh, NC) to battle the Jaguars in a 4A Tri-Nine challenge on Friday, April 19. The Jaguars enter the challenge with a record of 8-7. Athens Drive won 6-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Cardinal Gibbons (Raleigh, NC)
