April 16, 2022: Bremen, IN 46506 The South Central Satellites softball team (Union Mills, IN), was tipped 13-12 in Saturday's non-league test with the host Bremen Lions (Bremen, IN)
Coming up next, the Lions encounter the South Bend Riley Wildcats (South Bend, IN) in a Northern Indiana test, on Monday, April 18. Bremen will attempt to improve on its 3-1 season record. The Wildcats enter the test with a 4-1 record after their 16-0 league win over South Bend Washington (South Bend, IN).
The Satellites (3-2) will now prepare for their test against Hammond Bishop Noll (Hammond, IN). The Warriors enter the non-league test with a 4-4 record. In their last test, Hammond Bishop Noll was tipped by Logansport (Logansport, IN), 14-1, in a non-league test.
Game Summary
The Bremen Girls softball team salvaged a split in Saturday's double header at Pfeiffer Field. After the Satelites tied the game at 12 in the top of the 7th, Jaylin Swint's two-out, solo walk off home run, ended a long day at the ball field.
The Lions came out swinging getting 7 runs on 7 hits in the first inning. Ellia Foster had a 3-run home run, and Gretchen Willis had a solo home run in the first frame. Swint had her first home run of the game in the bottom of the 4th.
Swint had 4 hits with a double & 2 HRs collecting 4RBI, Mickie Shively, Lainey Neher, & Gretchen Willis had 3 hits each, and Foster added two getting 3RBI.
Chrissy Grabowski picked up the win from the circle.
