Ohio High School Softball - Monroe bounces Oakwood
April 16, 2022: Dayton, OH 45419 Monroe Hornets (Monroe, OH) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Oakwood Lumberjacks (Dayton, OH), 26-13 in a league challenge.
The Hornets now own a 2-3 record. They take the field next when they host Valley View for a Southwestern Buckeye - Southwestern challenge on Monday, April 18. Monroe will battle a Spartans squad coming off a 25-1 non-league loss to Carlisle (Carlisle, OH). The Spartans record now stands at 1-3.
With the loss, Oakwood falls to 0-3 on the campaign. The Lumberjacks host Brookville (Brookville, OH) to battle the Blue Devils in a Southwestern Buckeye - Southwestern challenge on Monday, April 18. The Blue Devils enter the challenge with a record of 5-4. Brookville won 5-4 in their recent non-league challenge against Versailles (Versailles, OH)
