Washington High School Softball - Davenport bounces Chewelah
April 16, 2024: Chewelah, WA 99109 Davenport Gorillas (Davenport, WA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Chewelah Cougars (Chewelah, WA), 27-8 in a league challenge.
The Gorillas now own a 2-6 record. They take the field next when they host Non Varsity Opponent for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, April 17. Davenport will battle a squad coming off a 17-7 non-league loss to Pearsall (Pearsall, TX). The record now stands at 33-61.
With the loss, Chewelah falls to 0-12 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Colfax (Colfax, WA) to battle the Bulldogs in a 2B Bi-County challenge on Friday, April 19. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a record of 7-5. Colfax lost 8-7 in their recent league challenge against Northwest Christian School (Colbert, WA)
