Kentucky High School Softball - Clay County nudges Knox Central
April 16, 2024: Manchester, KY 40962 Clay County Tigers (Manchester, KY) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Knox Central Panthers (Barbourville, KY), 4-3 in a non-league challenge.
The Tigers now sport a 8-7 record. They take the field next when they host Corbin for a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 18. Clay County will face a Redhounds squad coming off a 9-2 non-league loss to Henry Clay (Lexington, KY). The Redhounds record now stands at 5-7.
With the loss, Knox Central falls to 2-9 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Lynn Camp (Corbin, KY) to face the Wildcats in a District 51 challenge on Thursday, April 18. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a record of 9-4. Lynn Camp won 2-0 in their recent league challenge against Pineville (Pineville, KY)
