North Carolina High School Baseball - Atkins holds off Salisbury
April 16, 2025: Winston-Salem, NC 27101 The crowd at Wednesday's non-league battle between the Atkins Camels (Winston-Salem, NC) and the visiting Salisbury Hornets (Salisbury, NC), saw Atkins's baseball team beat Salisbury by a margin of 8-4.
The Camels (5-15) will now prepare for their battle against Bethany Community (Summerfield, NC). The Wolves enter the non-league battle with a 13-3 record. In their last battle, Bethany Community held off Oak Ridge Military Academy (Oak Ridge, NC), 14-2, in a non-league battle.
Next, the Hornets face the North Rowan Cavaliers (Spencer, NC) in a Central Carolina 1A/2A battle, on Wednesday, April 23. Salisbury will attempt to improve on its 6-15 season record. The Cavaliers enter the battle with a 4-11 record after their 17-12 league win over Lexington (Lexington, NC).
