New Jersey High School Baseball - St. Benedict's Prep loses to Verona
April 16, 2025: Newark, NJ 07102 Verona Hillbillies (Verona, NJ) fans left the game pleased Wednesday as they observed their baseball squad achieve victory over the host St. Benedict's Prep Gray Bees (Newark, NJ), 11-0 in a non-league match.
With the triumph, Verona advances its record to 6-1 on the season. The Hillbillies travel to Caldwell (West Caldwell, NJ) to battle the Chiefs in a non-league match on Saturday, April 19. The Chiefs come into the match with a record of 5-3. Caldwell won 4-1 in their recent non-league match against Barringer (Newark, NJ)
The Gray Bees now have a 2-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to West Orange for a non-league match on Saturday, April 19. St. Benedict's Prep will battle a Mountaineers squad coming off a 13-3 non-league win over West Milford (West Milford, NJ). The Mountaineers record now stands at 5-3.
