Pike Central Chargers (Petersburg, IN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Heritage Hills Patriots (Lincoln City, IN), 12-2 in a league challenge.

The Chargers now own a 8-1 record. They take the field next when they host Princeton for a Pocket challenge on Tuesday, April 18. Pike Central will battle a Tigers squad coming off a 5-4 non-league win over Lebanon (Lebanon, IN). The Tigers record now stands at 5-3.

With the loss, Heritage Hills falls to 7-2 on the campaign. The Patriots host Tell City (Tell City, IN) to battle the Marksmen in a Pocket challenge on Wednesday, April 19. The Marksmen enter the challenge with a record of 5-5.
