The crowd at Thursday's league battle between the Freedom Area Bulldogs (Freedom, PA) and the visiting New Brighton Lions (New Brighton, PA), saw Freedom Area's baseball team get by New Brighton by a tally of 3-2.

The Bulldogs (7-5) will now prepare for their battle against Beaver Falls (Beaver Falls, PA). The Tigers enter the non-league battle with a 2-7 record.

Next, the Lions face the Northgate Flames (Pittsburgh, PA) in a WPIAL 2A 2 battle, on Tuesday, April 22. New Brighton will attempt to upgrade on its 6-5 season record. The Flames enter the battle with a 4-8 record after their 11-5 league win over Aliquippa (Aliquippa, PA).
