Seward Bluejays (Seward, NE) fans left the game pleased Thursday as they observed their baseball squad achieve victory over the host York Dukes (York, NE), 5-2 in a non-league match.

With the triumph, Seward advances its record to 9-5 on the season. The Bluejays travel to Crete (Crete, NE) to battle the Cardinals in a non-league match on Monday, April 21. The Cardinals come into the match with a record of 11-8. Crete won 9-6 in their recent non-league match against Fairbury (Fairbury, NE)

The Dukes now have a 7-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bryan for a non-league match on Monday, April 21. York will battle a Bears squad coming off a 13-0 non-league loss to Millard South (Omaha, NE). The Bears record now stands at 5-11.
