The Deer Lakes Lancers (Russellton, PA) softball nipped the visiting Southmoreland Scotties (Alverton, PA), 6-5 in Thursday's non-league outing.

The Lancers now sport a 7-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Yough for a non-league outing on Monday, April 21. Deer Lakes will encounter a Cougars team coming off a 4-0 non-league loss to Burrell (Lower Burrell, PA). The Cougars record now stands at 1-6.
