The crowd at Thursday's non-league bout between the Mitchell Mustangs (New Port Richey, FL) and the visiting River Ridge Royal Knights (New Port Richey, FL), observed Mitchell's softball squad hold off River Ridge by a count of 1-0.

Next, the Mustangs meet the Springstead Eagles (Spring Hill, FL) in a non-league test, on Monday, April 21. Mitchell will attempt to upgrade on its 18-5 season record. The Eagles go into the test with a 13-4 record after their 13-3 non-league win over Weeki Wachee (Weeki Wachee, FL).

The Royal Knights (10-11) will now prepare for their test against Countryside (Clearwater, FL). The Cougars go into the non-league test with a 3-11 record. In their last test, Countryside held off Clearwater Central Catholic (Clearwater, FL), 7-5, in a non-league test.
