Murphy Bulldogs (Murphy, NC) backers left the game pleased Friday as they saw their softball squad thwart the visiting Andrews Wildcats (Andrews, NC), 15-0 in a league game.

With the triumph, Murphy upgrades its record to 9-5 on the year. The Bulldogs host Cherokee (Cherokee, NC) to play the Braves in a Smoky Mountain 1A/2A game on Tuesday, April 21. The Braves enter the game with a record of 4-5. Cherokee lost 16-5 in their recent league game against Robbinsville (Robbinsville, NC)

The Wildcats now own a 0-11 record. They play next when they travel to Hayesville for a Smoky Mountain 1A/2A game on Thursday, April 23.
