The First Flight Nighthawks overwhelmed the host Pasquotank County Panthers softball squad by a count of 12-0 in Friday's league challenge.

Next, the Nighthawks meet the Martin County Gators (Williamston, NC) in a Northeastern Coastal 3A/4A/5A challenge, on Monday, April 20. First Flight will attempt to upgrade on its 5-5 season record. The Gators go into the challenge with a 10-4 record after their 8-2 league loss to Currituck County (Barco, NC).

The Panthers (2-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Currituck County (Barco, NC). The Knights go into the Northeastern Coastal 3A/4A/5A challenge with a 10-7 record. In their last challenge, Currituck County toppled Martin County (Williamston, NC), 8-2, in a league challenge.
