Virginia High School Softball - Amherst County bounces Liberty
April 18, 2023: Bedford, VA 24523 The Amherst County Lancers (Amherst, VA) softball routed the host Liberty Minutemen (Bedford, VA), 17-5 in Tuesday's league bout.
The Lancers (8-1) will now prepare for their bout against Jefferson Forest (Forest, VA). The Cavaliers go into the Seminole bout with a 5-5 record. In their last bout, Jefferson Forest toppled Rustburg (Rustburg, VA), 5-2, in a league bout.
The Minutemen now possess a 0-7 record. They play next when they host William Byrd for a non-league bout on Wednesday, April 19. Liberty will confront a Terriers squad coming off a 11-1 league loss to Franklin County (Rocky Mount, VA). The Terriers record now stands at 2-8.
