Virginia High School Softball - Mathews bounces Charles City
April 18, 2023: Charles City, VA 23030 The Mathews Blue Devils (Mathews, VA) softball routed the host Charles City Panthers (Charles City, VA), 24-0 in Tuesday's league bout.
The Blue Devils (4-6) will now prepare for their bout against West Point (West Point, VA). The Pointers go into the Tidewater bout with a 4-5 record. In their last bout, West Point notched a victory over King & Queen Central (King & Queen Court House, VA), 16-6, in a league bout.
The Panthers now possess a 2-6 record. They play next when they travel to King William for a Tidewater bout on Thursday, April 20. Charles City will confront a Cavaliers squad coming off a 22-4 league win over Middlesex (Saluda, VA). The Cavaliers record now stands at 11-2.
