April 18, 2023: Topeka, KS 66606 The Manhattan Indians (Manhattan, KS) softball nipped the host Hayden Wildcats (Topeka, KS), 2-1 in Tuesday's non-league bout.
The Indians (8-2) will now prepare for their bout against Emporia (Emporia, KS). The Spartans go into the non-league bout with a 1-6 record. In their last bout, Emporia was edged by Derby (Derby, KS), 15-0, in a non-league bout.
The Wildcats now possess a 0-6 record. They play next when they travel to Junction City/St. Xavier for a non-league bout on Thursday, April 20. Hayden will confront a Bluejays squad coming off a 0-0 non-league Olathe East (Olathe, KS). The Bluejays record now stands at 3-1.
