The Van Alstyne Panthers baseball squad (Van Alstyne, TX), was overwhelmed 8-2 in Friday's league contest with the visiting Sanger Indians (Sanger, TX)

With the triumph, Sanger moves its record to 16-10 on the season. The Indians travel to Gainesville (Gainesville, TX) to confront the Leopards in a 4A Region II District 9 contest on Tuesday, April 22. The Leopards come into the contest with a record of 3-20. Gainesville won 8-7 in their recent league contest against Bonham (Bonham, TX)

The Panthers now possess a 11-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Celina for a 4A Region II District 9 contest on Tuesday, April 22. Van Alstyne will confront a Bobcats squad coming off a 5-2 league win over Sanger (Sanger, TX). The Bobcats record now stands at 17-6.
