Illinois High School Softball - Marengo holds off Harvard
April 19, 2022: Harvard, IL 60033 Marengo Indians (Marengo, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Harvard Hornets (Harvard, IL), 6-4 in a league challenge.
The Indians now own a 11-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Fenton for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, April 20. Marengo will battle a Bison squad coming off a 19-4 league win over Aurora East (Aurora, IL). The Bison record now stands at 5-4.
With the loss, Harvard falls to 4-4 on the campaign. The Hornets host Johnsburg (Johnsburg, IL) to battle the Skyhawks in a Kishwaukee River challenge on Thursday, April 21. The Skyhawks enter the challenge with a record of 3-5. Johnsburg lost 15-5 in their recent non-league challenge against McHenry (McHenry, IL)
